I had one of those rare moments last night, sitting around a table filled with friends and family, so grateful for where we are and how far we have come 💖.
It was a rough Friday, I try to set aside one full day a week for demolition and renovation at our new leased location. With no air conditioning, drywall dust, insulation and taking up stick-on tile flooring with a heat gun and a shovel; we had multiple helping hands. Our schedule with customers and contracts and now warranty work picking back up, made it harder this week for all of us to be in one place. Thankfully, there were extra bodies willing to fill in. Highlight of the day was watching Erika kick down a door 🙌. My nephew has a video in slow motion that he says, and I quote, “Tia, you look like the sloth in Zootipia” 🤣.
I have been to the new space more than a few times but never for a full day. I still feel the sore feet, blisters, bruised inner thigh thanks to the shovel handle, and a very itching forehead (not sure why 🤨). When the grueling 8-hour day was finally over, we went to the pub next door for some bar food. Looking around the table, seeing the exhausted smiling faces of friends and family, made me all warm and fuzzy 🥰. The new location won't be ready for at least a few months but the changes thus far are great. We can envision the area and the potential for what we can make it.
I am so proud to say we are a family business because its the truth. Our reputation us our brand and our brand is our reputation. We will continue, full steam ahead, by putting our best foot forward and acknowledging the support that surrounds us. Thank you to everyone, near and far, for encouragement and reinforcement. The future, as uncertain as it may be at times, is bright and positive because we are together, doing our best, every single day 💞
