My Best Friend Tracy

I am not me without Tracy. She is my soulmate. If I was into lady parts she would be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E. My best friend Tracy self-proclaims her beauty and hilarity. For these reasons and many more, I turn to her for everything. Moving to another country to start a business has been very difficult in its own right but being apart from your best friend is like guacamole without avocados. I am trying to make new friends but it just makes me miss Tra more (that’s her nickname btw, pronounced Tray). My personality is an acquired taste like water chestnuts or brussel sprouts. Tra is my homegirl. She gets me and she loves me. She has been working up the courage to ask other girls out on a Friend-Date, its very awkward to be cheering her on in the journey to replace me. It’s an actual thing, a Friend-Date. The definition should be on Wikipedia by now… the act of asking strangers out for a non-sexual encounter as a means to making a platonic friend. Fun Fact about my best friend Tracy, she finds the same clap in every song. Hard to explain but picture her clapping once to her left and twice to her right to the beat of EVERY song. Imagine this to a slow jam – she literally claps to the rhythm of ‘I will always love you’ by Whitney Houston. I don’t want to be replaced but I also don’t want Tra to feel lonely so I support her making another friend as long as that friend isn’t as cool as I am.
