The Big Questions

I have come to the realization that every big decision I have ever made started with a question.

Most people may have already come to this conclusion and are thinking, 'Well, duh?' The day-to-day questions are easy, like looking at the weather before getting dressed or choosing what to pack for lunch based on the leftovers in the fridge. The bigger questions are the proverbial forks in the road, the one's that lead us down the path that sets us up for the maze we call LIFE. I've been thinking about my answers, my personal preferences and what seemed to be my complete lack of direction at times. I don't regret my choices although I wish I had made a few adjustments, possibly learned some of my lessons sooner rather than later.

Here are some of my monumental inquisitions:

"Do you want to live with your mom or dad?"

"Did he ever touch you or make you feel uncomfortable?"

"Do you know where your brother is?"

"Would you like to become an insurance rep?"

"Can I tell you more about the Galt Cambridge Lions Club?"

"If I give you this ring, will you stop talking about commitment and marriage?"

"Why am I still in this relationship?"

"What about Kevin Galvao?"

"How about we skip the wedding planning mess and go with an Engagement Party where no one knows we got married already!?"

"Don't we need a bigger house now that I'm pregnant?"

"D&C, or allow your body to take care of the miscarriage on its own which could be several weeks, or insert these pills to speed up the process at home; which option do you prefer?"

"Can I have the biggest puppy of the litter?"

"Could you please come back to Lions and run the Leo Club?"

"Before this court, is it your intention to legally adopt this young man?"

"What do you mean 'Terry's gone'?"

"Ma'am, do you want to take your father's belongings or do you want us to send them to Hamilton Hospital?"

"Why don't you and Kev come down to run the business with me in Myrtle Beach?"

"Are you sure you want to move back to Canada and be on your own?"

"Why, Bean...?"

"Should we be hiring during a pandemic?"

"Why not start a journal, connect with my feelings and share it on the world wide web?"

I would really like to know what the future questions will look like, just a hint would be helpful.

Life is so unpredictable and it's safe to assume there will be many more choices to make ❤
